How can I find out who is in a photo?

For submitted photos were no comments were left, you can click to see the notes. The very first note will show who submitted the image.

Why hasn’t my picture posted?

It’s probably in the queue! Pictures may take 3 to 12 days to post.

Will you edit my post at all?

Maybe. I will never change the meaning of your post, but I will delete or tone down negative self/body-talk. If I’m in a particularly productive mood, I might even fix some spelling and grammar mistakes. This blog is a collaborative effort!

Is this a pro-ana blog?

No. However, a weight loss blog of any type will be triggering for someone with an eating disorder. I advise those of you with eating disorders to seek treatment as soon as possible, but I understand that this is easier said than done. 

I generally do not check the blogs of submitters, but if I find out that your blog is a pro-ana blog, I will remove your submission.

Do you have rules for photos?

1) No body-hate or fat-shaming (this includes of your “before” body). I will delete it.

2) No photos or submissions that glorify eating disorders. This means I will reject photos that are shot in a way so as to emphasis bones or extreme thinness. This includes the sort of “lying down, sucking in” photos common on pro-ana websites. 

3) Keep it PG-13!

4) You should own the copyright to the image you submit.

5) The image must be either of YOU or of a friend who has given you permission to take their photo and submit it. This is straightforward. If you break this rule, you’re blocked. 

I think I have an eating disorder. What should I do?

You need to talk to someone. It isn’t easy at all, I know - but you need to reach out to someone. You can call the confidential Helpline from the National Eating Disorders Association Monday-Friday, 9:00 am- 5:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time. The number is 1-800-931-2237. Do not be afraid to call. You are strong and there is a better life waiting for you. If you are in the UK, you can call BEAT at 0845 6341414, or the youth helpline at 0845 634 7650. Find services nearby in the UK.
