Read Me: Philosophy

Please take the time to read this before you send me an ask, and maybe even before you decide to follow the blog.

I support and believe in healthy behaviors for everyone. I also live in the real world. I know and understand that any popular website with a focus on weight loss will attract people who have eating disorders. Many of my followers are struggling with eating disorders. In many ways, yo-yo dieting is also an eating disorder. I understand that websites like this one encourage and praise weight loss. Not everyone needs to lose weight, and many people spend their entire lives trying to fight the natural shape and composition of their bodies. I wish no one would do this.

My advice for living a healthy life is to eat medium quantities of healthy foods like vegetables, fruits, and whole grains, and to sometimes eat your favorite foods without feeling guilty for it. Do not attach emotions - positive or negative - to food. Eat when you are hungry.

Try not to not look at the bodies of other people with jealousy, contempt, or disgust. Your body is the only one that you will ever have.

Remember that you cannot see health in a photo. Some people may look healthy or overweight to you but they are suffering from eating disorders, while others may look too thin to you when they are in fact healthy. It is not my job to diagnose strangers over the internet, and I resent it when people believe that it is theirs. However, I will remove any photos from people who have pro-ana blogs if I am made aware of them.

I allow posts from people in recovery. Silencing people with eating disorders does not make them go away.

I do not endorse anyone or their methods just because I accept their pictures/story. This website is an HONEST representation of the struggles that real people go through with their weight and their bodies. It is not a dieting website, a health website, or anything else. It is a place for people to share their stories and photos.

Because of this, some of the photos on this blog may be triggering to those with eating disorders. I suggest that people with eating disorders, especially those in recovery, do not follow this blog. I suggest that you do not follow any blogs regarding weight loss. They are all triggering.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. You are awesome. Give yourself some credit!<br>
