Hello! I’m 5’7” and I’ve lost 95 lbs over the last three years.  I went from a size 20 to a 10/12 by radically changing my eating habits and starting an exercise program.

I use MyFitnessPal to track my calories (~1400-1800/day) and I try to eat as much fresh fruit, vegetables,and lean protein, as possible.

When I was at my heaviest, I would eat ice cream and candy every day, but I still felt like I was being denied all the good foods I wanted.  Now, despite rarely eating ice cream and other desserts, I know I can have as much healthy food (mangoes, raisins, oatmeal, etc) as I want, and I feel much more easily satiated than I have in the past.

Over the last year, I’ve stopped drinking soda full-stop, I rarely drink alcohol (that was a *major* change), and I’ve been trying to substitute more beans and nuts in place of meat.  My current quest is to wean myself off of frozen dinners by making the same meals I used to microwave using fresh ingredients instead.

I’ve received a lot of inspiration from this site, so thank you to everyone who has previously submitted and a huge shout out to the awesome community here in general!
