I am 5’6” // Highest weight: 235-240
Before photo (on 4-18-12): ~190 // After photos (on 5-12-13): 155
It’s crazy to look at these before photos. I honestly never realized how big I had become. I’d like to lose about 15 more pounds but I’ve been maintaining for about 6 months now! I started eating smarter and working out almost every day. I play volleyball, lift weights, and run/walk.
I’m currently saving up for surgery to remove excess skin from my stomach and a breast lift with augmentation. I go for my second consult appointment in two weeks and will hopefully be scheduling surgery!

Age: 27
I was never really concerned about my looks until I realized how big I actually was.
The heaviest I got was 215 lbs and realized that I wasn’t happy with the way I looked. I took control of my life, lost a whole bunch of weight. Most importantly I made healthier decisions for my body.
Today I would like to report I am in the best shape of my life. My cardio is better, I’m more flexible, and also I feel more powerful and faster than ever before.
Motivation, dedication, and eating clean is what I attribute my fitness and happiness to.

Before and during pictures, I think I am about 5’6 or 5’7. I am not sure how much I weighed before, but now I am in the high 150’s…
I am really working on being happy with myself, so I figured loving the way I look had to be the first step. Im not perfect, I have my slip ups, but I eat as clean as I can, and workout about 4 or 5 times a week. (I am making myself into a runner! Its great!) I am nowhere near where I want to be, so youll definitely see me on here again soon! If you want to talk health here I am

I’m 5’6”, starting weight somewhere in the 240s, current weight 132. Running my first half marathon on May 5th! Portion control, kickboxing, running, lifting, and fun gym classes!

I’m not quite sure how much I weighed in the first photo, but I was in the high 100’s/low 200’s. Now, I’m somewhere in the mid 100’s and I’m 5’6”.
At my highest, I was around 214 pounds. I’ve lost around 60 pounds mainly just by eating better. Now, I work out 5 or 6 times a week, doing mostly strength.
I could really use more people to follow as motivation/talk to about weight loss! There’s always a lot more out there for me to learn. You can find my fitness blog here.

So the before is from my junior year of high school- I’d say that I was roughly 250lbs and 5’6”. The after is how I currently look during my freshman year of college- between 165 and 175lbs. Most of the loss took place during the end of my junior year and all throughout my freshman year. I mostly maintained during senior year. I still have a ways to go but I’m determined to make it. Come talk to me!

Height; 5’6
Weight; before: 173lbs after: 150lbs
This picture always seems to give me motivation and helps me to get back into the right mind set of things when im feeling down about myself. Iv always been bullied in my past and as soon as i finished high school I decided it would be the best time to kick myself in the butt and look good & feel great.
I started my whole weightloss by changing what & how i ate. I was also in the process of training for my first 10km run ever.. (i NEVER was into sports or running..at all) I had lost a total of 30lbs by the date of my run. I never felt better..
A few months later i decided to get myself back into the gym.. I then realized that the 30lbs that i had lost was not only fat, I had also burned most of my muscle off.
I then decided a few months ago (in december) that I dont want to loose any more weight, I want to GAIN more muscle and shed some inches. *weighing yourself is only a number.. not meaning anything* I was doing everything I could to gain muscle- until i found out i was spending 2 hours in the gym and over working myself.
The best decision I have ever made was working with a trainer at the gym. she helped me plan out a 5 day workout routine and exercises that were specifically meant for me (i have constant pain in my back.. getting better though).
I am currently in the process of slowly increasing the weightload and learning to love my body inside and out.
You will never achieve proper progress if you dont learn to love your body inside and out.

After feeling disheartened at the amount of weight I have lost, I decided to have a look at some pictures from a few months ago and I realised my weight loss is most obvious in my face which i am very happy about. Attempting to do more regular exercise such as swimming and eat a more “clean” diet.
Height: 5’6
Weight loss: Around 8lbs.

I’m about 5 ft. 6 in., also an athlete, and the before picture (left) wasn’t even at my highest point. Before I started, I weighed 160 lbs. as of August 2012. I started watching my calories, eating right, and working out. I skipped out on fast food, sodas, and candy. The after picture (right - progress shot) is from March 2013 and at 140 lbs. Even though it doesn’t sound like much, 20 pounds later, I feel more confident, have more energy, and am overall happier. :)
I went from one of the slower runners to the one of the faster and stronger players on the basketball court. Once you start, don’t give up! Because when you want to give up, push harder, that’s when it will count most.

I’m 5’6” and loving my body :)
